SANTA CRUZ – The parish of Holy Cross, 210 High Street, is seeking volunteers for its Saint Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, which reports that “the need for our Food Pantry is not decreasing”.
We are helping more than a thousand people every month, three times as many people in need as we did before the pandemic. Most of these are parents whose income has shrunk due to the pandemic and who are struggling to pay rent and bills and feed their families. We are really grateful to those of you who are helping by making donations to the Pantry to enable us to assist our participants and whom we may not be able to thank personally…
Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am until 11am to help unload deliveries and pack food boxes. Volunteers are also needed on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from 9am until 11am or from 11am until 1pm to help distribute food packages.
Those interested in volunteering are invited to contact Irene Lennox by email or by calling her at 831-457-2690.
